Rollform India commissions its special Tube Mill for 90 mm OD x 9 mm thickness high tensile material pipes at Goodluck Steel Tubes’ new Automotive pipe manufacturing facility

In a one of its kind project, Goodluck Steel Tubes had awarded the order for supplying a Tube Mill for manufacturing a special ERW Tube Mill suitable for manufacturing 90 mm OD, 9 mm thickness tubes of special high tensile grades of steel to Rollform Equipment Pvt. Ltd earlier this year. This is the 3rd Tube Mill which Rollform was awarded to supply to Goodluck.

Rollform took on the challenge and with its collaborators in Germany, built the special gargantuan Tube Mill – which has so far never been built in India ever before.

The Tube Mill was delivered to Good Luck Steel Tubes in a record time of just 7 months and was commissioned in November . At the inauguration of the Goodluck’s new facility, reputed tube manufacturers and consumers from the Automotive sector from all over the world were in attendance. All of the visitors remarked at the Tube Mill and were in awe of the high quality build and craftsmanship of the machine.

The Tube Mill which is a marvel of engineering was designed specially by Rollform’s design team in close and active consultation with its German counterparts. Innumerable hours were spent on design creation, consultations, FEA analysis, 3D modeling and discussions while designing this mammoth of a machine.

Goodluck has just recently produced tubes of 8. 5 mm thickness on their new Tube Mill and are very happy with the performance of the machine. The Tube Mill was used to manufactured pipes of 8.5 mm thickness of ST 52 material; production was very smooth and flawless.

The management of Goodluck is so happy with their machine, they have released another order for a Tube Mill to Rollform Equipment, the details of which cannot be disclosed for strategic reasons.
